  •    Receiving  wil be 10 A.M. -  2P.M.  in the Karen Sprague Cultural Arts Center
  • Shipped Artwork must be received by March 10, 2008   
  • Pick Up  Saturday May 17, 2008  10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Sculpture weight limit 100 lbs. including crate.

ELIGIBILITY AND MEDIA REQUIREMENTS

Open to all living artists in the USA. One entry only of classic media in representational manner. NO PHOTOGRAPHY ACCEPTED. Works on paper should be framed under plexiglas or glass. All paintings should be framed, wired and ready to hang. NO sawtooth hangers. Entries should be ORIGINAL, recently completed, and not previously shown in a juried exhibit in the  Springfield area.

PAINTINGS,  INCLUDING FRAME,   MUST NOT EXCEED 40"

WORK NOT MEETING THIS CITERIA WILL BE RETURNED AT THE ARTIST'S EXPENSE.

SCULPTURE  One Entry Only  

Slides of two or more views should be submitted with Title and complete description including Size, Weight, and Medium .   Weight limit is 100 pounds. Artist provides stand.

  • SLIDES MUST BE POSTMARKED BY FEBRUARY 1, 2008

 Only one 35 mm side to be submitted by mail.   Please label as indicated on the FRONT of the slide. Print artist's name,  title of artwork,  medium and size INCLUDING FRAME. The jury reserves the right to reject any entry not conforming to the submitted slide or not suitably framed.  NO sawtooth hangers.

Sales ~ A 20% commission will be received on all work sold. Please list value if work is listed N.F.S.

Artwork cannot be listed P.O.R

Shipping ~ Shipped entries must arrive by March 10, 2008,  prepaid with a prepaid return address label to an address, not a P.O. Box, and a check for $45 handling fee to the shipper for storage, delivery, pickup, re-crating as closely as possible to original and shipping.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE SENT UPON ACCEPTANCE

Insurance should be purchased by the artist, from the time of shipping to the time of return, from their own insurance company.  Shipped entries must have Plexiglas; no glass,  and be packed in a reusable carton.     No responsibility will be taken for return shipping if the packaging material or container are not suitably prepared for transportation.  AIC will not accept  crated work.
